How to Polish your Leather Shoes Without Using Shoe Polish

My Father said it years ago "Shine your shoes everyday, as it will reflect your personality more bright "This are some of Leather shoe polish alternatives I learn during my school days, early morning rush for school and polishing shoes always use to be last in list, it can be quite frustrating when at last moment you cant find shoe polish or don't have shoe polish readily available, as rightly said need is mother of all inventions so I discovered alternative methods to polish my shoes which I am going to share:

1)Olive Oil and Lemon: Olive oil is best moisturiser and alternative for shoe polish, just sprinkle little oil on shoes and keep it for 5 minutes then rub it with dry soft cloth and your shoes are good as new, put few drops of lemon juice in oil to give your shoes extra Shine. I also use same method to keep my house leather slippers shiny and clean all time.

2)Banana Skin: banana peel is a great organic shoe shiner as it contains potassium which is main ingredient in all conventional shoe polish available in market. Rub inside of banana skin on your old or dirty shoes and then clean it with dry soft cloth, it’s as simple as this to make your casual leather shoes shine again.

3)Coconut Oil: Normally every oil can be used to shine your leather shoes, use soft dry cloth to first clean any scuff on your shoes then leather dip cloth in oil and apply it gently all over your shoe it will make your shoe shine instantly, remember if you live in cold country this option will not work for you…

4) Rubbing alcohol: Yes, it’s true rubbing alcohol can also be good alternative to polish your shoes, dip a ball of cotton in rubbing alcohol and apply it gently on shoes (remember very gently) let it dry for a minute, later use dry soft cloth to shine your shoes like new.

5)Hair gel: Let’s admit most of men have hair gel easily available, just a small amount of hair gel can do the trick and save your day, apply little gel on shoe surface and later rub with soft clean cloth will give you a shiny shoe.

6)Hibiscus Flower: This alternative was suggested to me by my friend, near my house there was very beautiful hibiscus tree, This Flowers can be used as a natural alternative for shoe polish, just rub it on your shoe surface and then clean with dry cloth, buff with rug to give amazing brilliant shine.

7)Lip Balm: You will be very much surprised to know that lip balm can also be use to polish your shoes, just apply lip balm on your shoes clean it with dry soft cloth and buff it with rag your shoes are ready and shiny.

This are some of easily available mostly organic things which can be used as an alternative to give that day to day good like new shine on your Leather Shoes.
